Susie joined ASPIRE last year when she returned from travelling around Jordan and Italy. She loves working with high school students, having been a Visual Arts teacher in diverse communities across Australia, including in Katherine in the Northern Territory, and in Western Sydney. She is passionate in her belief that all students should have access to quality education and educational opportunities. She uses her artistic background to help students think creatively about their future and explore the many exciting possibilities available to them.

Susie is enjoying having the opportunity to work with the diverse communities involved in ASPIRE, as well as working with the student ambassadors. She loves hearing people’s stories. Working with ASPIRE has helped her realise just how diverse and unique the backgrounds and stories of students studying at university really are.

When not at work Susie loves being on her yoga mat, jumping in the ocean, getting creative and taking photographs. She appreciates how close the university is to Coogee Beach and can often be found unwinding here after work in summer. When at work she loves the tranquillity of the Morven Brown lawn.
